Work as Worship

On February 23, 2019, Airport Christian Fellowship will be a host site for the Work as Worship Retreat. This one day streamed event will feature 9 dynamic speakers sharing their insight on the viable connection of the heart of faith and productive, fulfilling work. Some of those speakers include: Frances Chan (author and pastor), Jon Acuff (bestselling author), Steve Green (president of Hobby Lobby), and Megan Alexander (correspondent of Inside Edition). The cost for this wonderful event is only $30, which includes lunch!

Whether you spend your days working in an office, around your home or at a job site, the Work as Worship Retreat is meant for you. The Bible is full of examples of people living each day on an eternal mission, weaving together their faith and their work in everyday life. Like the men and women of the Bible, God designed Christians of all walks of life, to worship and work in meaningful connection with Him.

RightNow Media, developed Work as Worship, based on the following eight tenants:

1. Work is good.
2. Sin corrupted work.
3. Jesus makes it possible for work to be redeemed.
4. God gave us a mission.
5. We carry Christ into our work.
6. God grows us through our work.
7. God can do more with our work than we can imagine.
8. Work is worship.

The Work as Worship Retreat is a great opportunity to learn how to make that Biblical connection between our faith and our work. God gives every person their talents and skills, so that through them He would be glorified. As stated in Colossians 3:17 “And whatever you do in word or deed, do it all in the name of Lord Jesus.”
